Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions about the fund. If you have a question that is not on this list, please let us know.

How is the fund managed?
The fund is overseen by a Board of Directors. The board has two permanent members for continuity and three members that rotate on three year shifts. Members of the board are nominated by existing board members.

How much money do you give away every year?
Each year we distribute the fund’s earnings plus 20% of the current year’s contributions. This allows us to have an immediate impact while growing the total value of the fund.

What types of investments do you invest in?
The fund invests in a conservative portfolio of stocks and bonds. Our focus is on stable, long term growth.

Who manages the investments?
The investment portfolio is managed by Christian Ministry Services, a division of the Arkansas Baptist Foundation. This is an organization that manages over $150 million investments for individuals, Churches, schools and other Christian organizations. The ABF is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability.

What types of organizations do you sponsor?
We invest in Christian mission efforts. Since we only make grants once a year, the ma-jority of our grants are to projects rather than monthly support. In addition to project grants, we also sponsor missions education and short term mission trips. Click here to see a list of previous grant recipients.

How do you decide who gets grants?
Grant requests are submitted through this website. The Missions Advisory Committee communicates with the grant recipients throughout the year. At the end of the year, the committee decides which organizations to fund.

I have a project that I would like the KMF to consider sponsoring. What do I do?
We would welcome the organization to submit a grant request. A member of the Mis-sions Advisory Committee will contact them to follow up.

What do you believe?
The Kingdom Missions Fund is a Christian organization. Donors and grant recipients come from various denominations. We all unite around the Apostles’ Creed, the divinity of Jesus Christ and the divine inspiration of scripture.

What about giving directly to churches or missions projects?
We never want to discourage people from giving to their Churches or directly to other missions organizations. If the Kingdom Missions Fund encourages more missions giv-ing, we feel like we have done our job. That said, just as a prudent investor has multiple investments in their portfolio, we encourage individuals to take a balanced approach to giving that includes both short-term and long-term donations.
